I bet you’ve been seeing these boots on all of your favorite celebs and online personalities. Even if you’re not familiar with the name, I’m sure these have popped up once or twice in your Pinterest and Instagram feeds. You may have also seen Louboutins and these sparkly YSL boots, both of which I’ve found some dupes for also!
I absolutely love the SW boots! They are super fitted, and I love the high over the knee (OTK) thigh high shaft. I am simply obsessed with the suede leather that it comes in and the variety of neutral shades it comes in.
From the SW website, it comes in Black Stretch Leather, and a variety of suede shades including Black, Taupe, Bordeaux, and Charcoal.
But when I saw the pricetag, around $800, I knew I had to look into other options.
This boot features a tall suade silhouette, an almond toe, and a medium height block heel that isn’t too thick or too thin. I love the little lace detail at the rear thigh area.
Luckily, since this style is so hot right now, many brands have come up with very good copycats. You can get the look for a fraction of the price!
First up, is Steve Madden’s “Gorgeous”
These are absolutely beautiful, and super close to the real thing. I absolute love the Taupe color! I believe these imitate the originals very well.
Price: $150
The good: Looks great, is fitted through the calf and thigh
The bad: Some people aren’t too happy that the ankle isn’t as fitted as the SW ones. These are also synthetic and the fabric isn’t as stretchy as SWs.
Overall, at $150, I think these are pretty awesome for the price, and Steve Maddens aren’t high end luxury quality, but the quality is better than brands like Forever 21 and the like. If you order these, make sure to go with a half size smaller. I’m normally a 9.5 in boots, and the size 9 fit me perfect!
Fashion Thirsty
Price: $34.95
The Good: These are super affordable! And they have a zipper to get them on and off easier! Comes in 5 different colors!
The Bad: These just don’t look at sleek as the SW or even the Steve Maddens to me. The toe shape also looks a bit different.
These are obviously synthetic, and the price is amazing, but I just don’t think they look anywhere as good as the real thing.
Chinese Laundry “Bachleorette”
Price: Approx. $90
The Good: Another great mid-end brand, so you can expect better quality than something from a typical juniors’ store. Also, these seem to be better suited for someone with bigger calves!
The Bad: They aren’t super super fitted if your legs are on the smaller side.
These only come in 2 colours, Chocolate and Toffee
Kaitlyn Pan
Price: $95
The Good: These are pretty fitted throughout the entire shaft of the boot, and many people have complimented on how great the faux suede feels, even though it’s synthetic.
The Bad: Seems like these sell out quick and only a few sizes are available at a time. Only two colors are available, Grey and Black, though they claim they make come out in a Green colour also.
These are a good option if you have fairly skinny legs!
SpyLoveBuy “Jackson”
Price: $54.95
The Good: They are pretty fitted around the ankles and calves, but seem to be a bit loose in the thigh area. So this may be a better option for people with thicker thighs. Comes in 3 colours. The man made material also looks very soft and velvety.
The Bad: Seems like they’re almost sold out of most sizes and colors.
I love the Brown Suede shade, it’s more of a Taupe to me! Though this particular style is almost sold out, they do have PLENTY of OTK thigh high styles with slightly different styles in their shop.
Get a pair before they’re sold out!
So there you have it, various different brands in various price points for the hottest boot style of the season!
