Every spring, I go out and seek my new Spring/Summer fragrance for that year. I am not a big fragrance person at all. But I do like to apply fragrance during the warmer months as a “pick me up”.

I tend to always go for light, uplifting scents with sweeter base notes of vanilla, amber, or sandalwood.

I discovered Laugh With Me Lee Lee when I was roaming the aisles of Shoppers Drug Mart. The tester bottles were so cute, like little gold cocktail shakers. They come in 30ml/1 fl. oz bottles, which is a convenient size for your purse. I smelled each Benefit crescent row fragrance, one by one, and felt that Lee Lee was just right for me this summer.

At first spray, the fragrance is sweet and light hearted, but not crazy sugary like what your average tween would wear. The melon in the top note is balanced out with a touch of sophistication with the floral mid notes of jasmine and lily. Though the floral notes are apparent, I don’t get any “green-ness” from it, which isn’t really my thing anyway.

The best part of a perfume for me is always the base notes, which come out after about 20 minutes. The sweetness is still there, but it’s a sexy, flirty, yet still subtle sweetness. Like I mentioned, I prefer fragrances with sandalwood and amber, and I love how they are used in “Lee Lee”, not overpowering, but you know they are there, mysteriously in the background.

Though this is light enough for daytime wear, I find the amber and sandalwood adds some sultriness to it, making it a little more complex and flexible enough to wear for a date or a night out on the town.

I’m not one of those people that douses my entire body in fragrance throughout the entire day. I spray my pulse points OR spray 2 sprays on my shirt at the beginning of the day, and rarely, if ever, do I respray during the day. This fragrance lasts the entire day on me.

Overall, I am really enjoying Laugh With Me Lee Lee, and look forward to the memories I will make whilst wearing this summer!
