Summary:

I have only used this for a short amount of time, and I am LOVING the results so far!

Ever since my mid twenties, I’ve become more and more conscious of my skincare and preventing/reversing any premature aging.

My issue isn’t wrinkles (though, those fine lines ARE creeping up on me!!!), rather, I’ve always had an issue with age and sun spots.

I use sunscreen regularly, even in the winter.

I’ve also added products to my routine that help with cell renewal and exfoliation, to help renew new, healthier skin.

I just got back from a week in Hawaii, and though I was religious with my sunscreen, I managed to come back with a bunch of new freckles on my face!

I immediately grabbed a bottle of Meladerm cream, as it’s known for its skin lightening properties.

My Experience

I’ve used this product for a week, and let me tell you, I am VERY pleased with the results so far!

Like I mentioned, I just came back from Hawaii and I got a bunch of new spots.

I used Meladerm as a part of my skincare routine and I saw a difference immediately!

Not full results, but I noticed that my skin started looking less blotchy and uneven from the sun damage.

I am happy to say that my skin is going back to the way it looked before the trip a lot quicker than I thought it would

What I didn’t like

I live in a place that is experiencing lots of snow and below freezing temperatures, so my skin is feeling a bit more dry than usual.

Though the Meladerm has a great texture that isn’t thick and sticky, I just don’t feel that it is emollient enough for my skin right now. It would be perfect for the warmer months for me though! I have combination skin, on the drier side, and I don’t mind extra moisture on my skin!

To fix this, I usually use a serum before applying the cream. Meladerm also has their own serum, which I may try out! It actually sounds like something I’d love, because it has AHA in it.

What Is Meladerm Whitening Cream?

Like the name says, it is a whitening cream. When products claim to be a “whitening” product, I don’t really think that it is necessarily a bleaching cream, but a product that helps remove unwanted hyper-pigmentation from the sun and other factors like hormones and scarring.

On the website, it states that it can be used to fade acne scars, melasma and chloasma, uneven skintone from sun damage, age spots, freckles, etc. It can also be used on other areas, such as darkened knees and elbows!

Is It Good For Sensitive Skin?

This formula is hydroquinone, mercury, and steroid free. It also does not use any other damaging bleaching agents, which a lot of other “whitening” creams use.

Hydroquinone is known as an irritant, and is commonly used in lightening creams.

What is Meladerm made of?

The active ingredients are derived from plant extracts, such as licorice, Mulberry, and Bearberry plants. Check out more info on the ingredients here.

Where Can I Buy this Lightening Cream? What is the Price?

The best place to buy Meladerm is on their official website, and it currently retails for $49.99 and they offer international shipping. Take a look at their ordering and shipping policies for your location.

Does It Work?

They claim that you will see results after 2 weeks of regular use, but with continued use, after 2-3 months, you will see your full results.

They also offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you don’t like the product. Read more info about their guarantee here.
