I coin myself “The Lazy Makeup Artist”, or should I say, ex-makeup artist.
I think every MUA gets to a phase where they just don’t want to apply makeup to themselves anymore, but rather focus on their clients. I got to this phase, and never got out of it lol.
I wear makeup only if I HAVE to, usually to an event or something where I’ll do a full face of foundation, contour, strobing, lashes- the whole nine.
But there are days where I need just a light “dusting” of something on my face, just so I look like I put some kind of an effort into myself. Check out the video below:

Some tips for your no foundation look:
Invest in a good concealer that is creamy and isn’t dry. Make sure to set the concealer with powder.
Use blush and/or bronzer to add colour to your face. This also helps to counteract any slight discolourations and make them less noticeable.
Use the bronzer to lightly contour. I like to apply it wherever I would normally contour, and use the remaining product to dust it allover. If you have dry skin, this may be all you need to set your makeup, so you can skip the setting powder!
Same thing with blush, apply to the apples of the cheeks and dust the remainder allover. I also place the blush on my eyelids, I find this “ties in” the whole look.
If using liner, to cut time on getting a perfect line, smudge it! This adds a soft definition to the lash line, and no one will notice that you messed up!
If you’re great at applying lashes, skip mascara and liner and apply some great falsies!!!
Pick an area of your face you’d like to focus on. I like making sure my skin is glowy, so I do some highlighting/strobing. If you’re more into bringing your eyes out, then I’d focus on liner and mascara.
Most importantly: play around with it and figure out what works for you! This post was meant to help inspire and give ideas as to what you could do on your quickie makeup days!
If you prefer something more glam, perhaps the IG-famous look is more your taste.
